my church has this free chinese movie screening on.
Invited my uncle, auntie, grandpa & parents over one week in adv.
i know that i am the one inviting
but it is up to God to open their hearts.
and so i trusted in Him,
waited for Him to show me His will.
Ended up my parents went..

anyway i prayed, asking God to lead my parents & i for the day,
show me where to bring them for dinner.
promised them that it will be their daughter's treat
because have been ages since i last had family dinner out wif them
and have been really busy wif work
SO i should treat them wif the money i labored, wif the money God blessed me with =)
Initially wanted to bring them to Taiwan Porridge but mommy decided to go Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre.
have been relying a lot on net for good food
so before going out,
quickly start up my lappy to note down which are the MUST TRYs

this stall wasn't on my must try list but mommy wanted to try and here i go

me : auntie, phad thai nicer or pineapple fried rice?
thai auntie caught by surprise : eh. up to you. both also nice.
me: oh. okay. auntie help me decide i come back take whatever you give =)
another auntie standing behind an auntie who is waiting to collect her food : next time you should queue up. dont cut queue.
ME STUNNED jaw dropped.
me : oh my! u are queueing? i am so sorry. i have no idea. i thought u ordered. its okay then, u first.
queue being cut by me auntie : nvm. next time just don cut queue.
ME very not happy. EXCUSE me, i did NOT cut queue. i did not know there was a queue!
me : im sorry. but if u stand behind someone whom has ordered waiting to collect food, how would i know you have Not Yet ordered?

ME feeling very absurb just walked off

after knowing where my family is seated at
and walking around(cooling down) to check out the stalls,
i went back to collect my food
and the auntie is still there.
Because Jesus who is patience
who is forgiving
who has opened up my eyes,
i went forward and apologized to the auntie.

Give thanks to the Lord for the courage to admit my mistake!
she recommended me what are the dishes that should try if u are dining in - green curry chicken & phad thai.

the Green curry chicken here is very popular.
after me was another auntie who wanted to order 2 but they are only left with the last one.
the taste was great!!
not recommended for ppl who dont really like coconut taste as thai curry is supposed to be strong in that taste.
though it is green curry Chicken, i suspect there are other meat inside.
there are 2 diff kinds of meat found, 1 purely meat another more like bones.
or maybe is chicken but diff parts? -.-
ANYWAY, doesn't matter!
the meat is GoOD!!! like really good!
the meat is tender and moist with the curry fragrance inside.
the bones when suck is flowing out with all the curry!
NICE! MUST TRY!!! 7.5/10

the phad thai is okay okay only.
parents & i agreed that it is kind of saltish.
and when all the dishes arrived, this dish was kind of cold.
ingredients inside are in abundance though - big, fresh prawns, sotongs, forgot =x
just that do try this dish when it is piping hot not cold.
okay, do not really have to try 6/10
p/s do remember to take the very special chili sauce to try =)

Happy Wanton Noodle

was surprised to see this stall opened because i rmb on net it says till 3.30pm.
when i ordered, uncle thought i was a reporter because i was taking pictures & notes. HA!
anyway uncle explained that 3.30pm was in the past when his wife was still alive.
he has 30 plus experience in this line
and in katong they used to have one outlet but shift over or is it still there? forgot! =x oh man, my memory..
anyway he has 4 sons too. the reason for not winding up because his wife likes him doing this line, so ppl we are in good treat because of his wife!

the wanton noodle after cooking was immediately put under running water.
well people who has food knowledge should know the reason behind it.
indeed the noodles taste much different
and before that on the plate, uncle put a generous spread of black sauce for the noodles,
the char siew & the veggies was in generous amount too!
wanton 3 piece - just nice 1 for daddy, 1 for mommy, 1 for me. Praise Lord^^
charsiew is roasted nicely, very 香 & crispy,
the big portion of veggies when eaten together wif e noodles make the taste not too overwhelming, somehow act as a neutral.
overall, nice. can try. definitely something different from the noodles you eat outside. very worth it too. $3 for generous, big portions. 7/10

i read the review before going and it describes till its like really good.
when i went, i thought there will be a long queue or at least a queue as other stalls that i tried are all having.
but to my surprise there was none.
anyway this stall they has diff portions - $2, $3, $4.
i thought that this was good.
ordered the smallest one ended up couldnt finish.
overall taste acceptable, better than the usual ones found in coffeeshop.
can try the smallest portion one 7/10

by the time mommy came back with these 2 dishes e rest were warm.
she say that the queue is even longer after she finished buying,
how popular!
the cuttlefish kang kong in my parents & my opinion ranked first among all the dishes we tried.
the main role - cuttlefish is very nice, very fresh, taste very different.
the other roles play important part in the taste of the dish too.
i have no idea what is inside, only know that it is alot of ingredients
and when mixed together in 1 mouthful, SCRUMPTIOUS!!!
Satay Bee Hoon was disappointing. find the taste okay only.
the taste was normal, didnt make me go WHOA which the cuttlefish has managed to.
good news? there is cuttlefish inside too! =D
both dishes are a must order there. cuttlefish 8/10, satay beehoon 7/10

Sweet Tapioca

mommy saw the tapioca, craving killing her and so she went to buy.
NICE! VERY VERY NICE!
don't know the name of the stall but i will definitely be gg back there to buy for my mommy =)
